My latest collage commission features the iconic Deal Pier, inspired by a lovely couple who admired my 'Dreamland' piece at the EKAS Autumn Art Fair in November. They appreciated the Art Deco style, and we worked together to create a vibrant representation of their cherished local landmark.

Sourcing the right magazine pages was an enjoyable challenge, as I sought out bold colours—my signature style—that bring life and vibrancy to the otherwise stark concrete forms. For added authenticity, I ordered the Deal Despatch publication online from Brightside Publishing, ensuring the collage reflects local heritage.

Recently, I had the pleasure of welcoming the couple to my studio for a little celebration with Buck’s Fizz and mince pies. They had the chance to see the collage hung in my studio before taking it to their home. It was a lovely experience, adding a personal touch to their connection with the piece!
